On the last 24th September 2026, the city of Rijeka in Croatia hosted the second working meeting of the European “B-Free” project.
This project addresses the issue of bullying in youth sport, a serious and widespread challenge that undermines the fundamental values of sport and the wellbeing of young athletes across Europe.
At this meeting, the results of 2,038 questionnaires completed by young athletes from the following countries were presented: Turkey, Slovenia, Croatia and Portugal.
The meeting also addressed the topics of the awareness-raising campaign on bullying in sport, future training sessions for coaches and sports club officials, as well as all tasks relating to the project’s communication and dissemination.
This international consortium comprises nine organisations from eight countries: Norway, Turkey, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, Malta and Portugal.
