The second working meeting of the European project “Grassroots football clubs and corporate social responsibility” took place in Pamplona – Navarra, in northern Spain. The aim of the project is not only to promote Social Responsibility in grassroots football (CSR), but also to encourage the exchange of experiences and co-operation between four regional football associations/federations. The first meeting took place in April in Poland.
The project is based on the development of social integration and gender equality projects, as well as the integration and training of children in socio-educational activities. Over the course of the programme, a series of activities will be developed on specific topics, bringing together trainers and staff from the respective institutions, as well as a team of experts who will be responsible for drawing up a manual on the good practices to be adopted, followed by a “training” programme to be implemented in 10 institutions. The project will also be energised by a series of conferences aimed at all members of the respective associations.
The partnership it’s coordinated by the Opole Regional FA and has as full partners three other Regional Football Associations: Navarra FA from Spain, Porto FA from Portugal and Maribor FA from Slovenia.
