Pais21 – Down Portugal was present between May 26 and 30 at the training course integrated in the Erasmus+ project “NO1Behind,” which took place at the Eusébio Sacristan Foundation in Valladolid, Spain.
This training aimed to provide participants from Portugal, Spain, and Macedonia with a set of knowledge about sports for “special populations”. To this end, several presentations were given on the following topics:
– Adapted and inclusive sports in the European context.
– How to work with people with disabilities.
– Functional diversity and disability profiles.
The various projects and initiatives in this sector that are being implemented by the Eusébio Sacristan Foundation were also presented. In addition to visiting the various initiatives and facilities, participants were able to attend the inauguration of the Eusébio Sacristan Foundation’s new youth hostel.
We would like to remind you that the “NO1Behind” project aims to increase the participation of children and young people with disabilities in sport, promoting an active and eco-friendly lifestyle for active citizenship.
