
The second project meeting of the project ”USSI – Universal Sports for Social Impact” was hosted by the Portugal Sports Hub on the city of Mirandela in the North of Portugal on the last 30th January 2026.
The meeting took place at Hotel Dom Dinis, bringing together project partners from Hungary, Italy, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Portugal to review progress and define the next steps of the initiative, which aims to promote inclusion and social development through sport.
The first day of work began with welcome remarks from the host organization, followed by a detailed presentation from the project coordinator outlining the current status of the project.

Key sessions throughout the day focused on the development of Work Packages 3 and 4, including presentations from their respective leaders. Discussions then shifted to planning upcoming final events, such as demonstration days and the concluding conference, which will mark the culmination of the project.
The meeting also provided space for open discussion, enabling partners to address challenges, align strategies, and define future actions. The day concluded with a visit to Ginásio Clube Mirandelense, a local combat sports club with a huge history in Kickboxing, that also highlight the club local sports infrastructure, the sport values promoted and its role in community engagement in sport.
