
The Bragança Football Association Women’s Futsal Team participated in the “Woman In Futsal” International Tournament in Rome, Italy, this Saturday.
The Bragança team, coached by the regional coach Pedro Cepeda, began by facing the Navarra Football Federation from Spain. AF Bragança lost this match by 6-2.
In the last match of the tournament, the Portuguese team beat the Italian team “Crazy for Football” by 3-5.
The International Tournament is part of the “Women In Futsal: An opportunity to change the future of women’s sport in Europe” project.
The initiative aims to promote women’s participation in sport and physical activity, especially those living in challenging social conditions. The project is co-financed by the European Commission under the ERASMUS+ Sport program.
The program of the tournament also includes a cultural visit to the Vatican City in Rome.
