From the 25 to 28 May 2026 the ADCS Carvalhais Headquarters in the North of Portugal hosted the Kick-Off of the Erasmus+ Sport Project PREFERAL.
The PREFERAL project is an Erasmus+ 24 months initiative focused on promoting social inclusion and personal development for people with fewer opportunities by using sport and outdoor activities as tools for empowerment. The project aims to address the barriers faced by individuals with disabilities, marginalized groups, and those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to sports and fostering community integration.
These activities target educators, coaches, and athletes, enhancing their skills and knowledge to support inclusive sports training, with an emphasis on adaptive sports for people with disabilities.
The partners of this project are from Sweden, Greece and Portugal (coordinator).
