On May 12, 2023, in the House of Europe in Sofia, an International Conference Sport and Non-formal Education was held, which aimed to present interesting international and national practices, as well as to give pedagogical experts the opportunity to discuss with their colleagues the challenges and opportunities that the non-formal education faces.
The conference, organized by Bulgarian Sports Development Association, it was part of the Erasmus+ Sport project “SPORT & NFE – A pathway to community development” that has as partners organizations from Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Portugal.
The event focused on the power of sport as an educational tool and the values and skills that it builds. The methodology Education Through Sport was also presented in detail as an innovative practice, which through the power of sport builds valuable qualities and skills, useful for the personal and professional development.
Portugal was represented in this wonderful event by the project partner ADCS Carvalhais.
