The second partner meeting of the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership PlayForward took place on 13–14 July 2026 at Özyeğin University in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The meeting brought project partners together to review progress, coordinate ongoing activities and define the next steps towards more sustainable, innovative and digitally empowered sport management.
Under the project’s full title, Driving Civic Engagement and Sustainability in AI-Powered Sport Management, PlayForward aims to advance the development of new approaches to sport management through competence development, pedagogical innovation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
During the two-day meeting, partners focused on the development of a sport sustainability management competence profile and micro-credential, discussing progress, validation procedures and the next stages of their implementation.
Another key topic was the development of the pedagogical model, including the creation of teaching and learning resources, the conceptualisation of theatre-based videos and the selection of an appropriate digital ecosystem, taking GDPR compliance and quality assurance into account. Partners also discussed the planning of a joint staff training event.

The second day was dedicated to dissemination and communication, including the development of a promotional video, stakeholder engagement, a LinkedIn social media campaign and the planning of promotional events. Project management and quality assurance were also reviewed to ensure effective cooperation and continued progress.
Hosted by Özyeğin University, the meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among partners, exchange ideas and align priorities for the next phase of the project.
Through PlayForward, the partnership continues to work towards equipping sport management professionals and organisations with the competences and resources needed to address sustainability challenges and embrace the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence.
