The Erasmus+ project PlayForward has officially launched, bringing together European partners with the shared ambition of transforming sport management education through sustainability, civic engagement and digital innovation.
The official kick-off meeting took place on December 3–4, 2025, hosted by Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) in Germany. The meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative international effort to design innovative educational approaches and practical training tools for future sport professionals across Europe.
PlayForward is focused on preparing a new generation of sport managers capable of leading socially responsible and environmentally sustainable sports initiatives. The project promotes the idea that sport is not only a competitive activity, but also a powerful tool for social cohesion, democratic participation and cross-border cooperation.
During the kick-off meeting, project partners discussed the strategic vision, implementation roadmap and expected outcomes for the coming years. The consortium also defined the first operational steps and collaborative framework that will guide the project throughout its implementation period.
